The Texan-French Alliance for the Arts is a proud founding partner of the “Be the Peace – Be the Hope” Educational and Healing Arts program. “Be the Peace Be the Hope” is a Social & Emotional Learning and Leadership and Community development arts integrated program that engages large number of children in at-risk environments (at-risk local schools, community centers, refugee camps) and aids in healing trauma, regaining hope, exploring strengths, and building a better future.

Through neuroscience, mindfulness, healing arts, personal growth and community development, we seek to directly address the negative social, emotional, and environmental factors that contribute to trauma, disengagement, delinquency, and academic failure in youth.

We also provide a platform that connect our public-school students with local and global communities (including refugee camps and orphanages) so that they can be part of the positive change they wish to see in the world. We train the local teachers and follow up periodically to make sure the sustainability is ensured.  The assessment results show a positive change in lives of hundreds of children in a very short time.
